Mental Health Support for Merck Employees and Their Families

If work stress, burnout, sleepless nights or trouble focusing are making everyday life feel harder, you don't have to push through alone. We accept Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield.

When work and life start to feel like too much

Demanding work can wear anyone down. Maybe you're lying awake at night going over tomorrow's to-do list, or you're so tired that focusing at work feels impossible. Maybe you're getting through the day but have nothing left for your family, or the things you used to enjoy feel like chores. These are common experiences, and they're worth taking seriously.

You might notice:

  • Feeling drained or on edge most days, even after time off
  • Trouble falling asleep, staying asleep or waking up rested
  • Struggling to concentrate, remember things or make decisions
  • Finding it hard to get through daily tasks at work or at home
  • Little room left for family, friends or yourself

None of this means something is "wrong" with you, and only a clinician can say what's going on. A confidential conversation with our admissions team is a simple first step, or you can try our private depression and anxiety self-check.

Care for Merck employees and the people they love

Many people in our community work at Merck's West Point, Upper Gwynedd and Spring House sites. Spouses, partners and adult children feel the strain of a hard season too, and they're welcome to reach out for their own care or to ask how to help someone at home.

You don't need any connection to Merck to use our programs. We also hear from neighbors in Lower Gwynedd, North Wales, Montgomeryville and Lansdale who are looking for the same kind of support.

Programs that fit around your life

Treatment hours at our clinics are 9am–9pm daily. Admissions calls are answered 24/7. Program attendance times above are separate from those treatment hours.

We handle your insurance, so you can focus on getting better

We accept Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield. When you're already exhausted, sorting out insurance shouldn't be one more thing on your plate. Our admissions team checks your benefits for you, requests any authorizations your plan needs, and handles appeals if a request is denied. We advocate for the coverage you need and keep you updated in plain language.

We can't promise what an insurer will approve or pay, but we will do the work and tell you clearly what we find before you start.

Taking time off: FMLA and short-term disability

Sometimes getting better means stepping away from work for a while. That can feel scary, especially when you're worried about your job and your paycheck. Our team can help you apply and complete the paperwork so you can protect your job and may be able to keep receiving pay while you're in treatment.

  • FMLA generally gives eligible workers unpaid, job-protected leave. It protects your job, but it doesn't pay you on its own.
  • Short-term disability may replace part of your income. Whether it does depends on your eligibility, your policy and approval.

We can't guarantee leave eligibility, employer approval or pay. Your care is confidential: leave forms may need some medical information, and we share only what's necessary, with your permission.
